when the sea met a shadow : a memory.

tree-branch on wet sand
turns to tree-shadow
under a heavy sun.

breathe in, sea in,
breathe out, sea out,
an unseen moon inhales her back once more,
& in her sea-wake,
flotsam
white like snow & appleblossom
clings to tree-shadow,
& whispers stories of spring & winter on wet sand

  1. I like this poem.I love the sea and it’s funky!!! The elements talking to each other. I love that. The elements of course are elementals. Wink wink… Funky, mystic. This a new type of naturalist poetry. Post Climate Change. :-))
